CU Technical and Administrative Services Corp. & Tsunami Communications Inc.
"Tsunami's past track record with (banking) implementations, experience with the technology
as well as their business knowledge added value to our business." ? Brad Best, IT Manager
CUTASC was formed when two credit unions1 joined together to form a consolidated IT services company. CUTASC
currently operates computer systems, including banking, for five separate credit unions. The new organization
was faced with the daunting tasks of combining and upgrading systems including the migration from the existing
banking systems into one common banking system platform using FincentricTM iWealthview Banking SystemTM. As
deadlines grew near, the staff at CUTASC became overtaxed with ongoing tasks and project implementation work.
Tsunami started by completing and managing the scripts for the automated scheduling software. As critical deadlines
for a certification audit drew near, Tsunami anticipated the need for additional qualified resources and then
proceeded to exceed the auditor's expectations.
Tsunami recognized other technology areas requiring assistance and worked with CUTASC staff to optimize the
architecture design of the Microsoft Active Directory Services, networking infrastructure, data & disaster
recovery and email services.
"I believe Tsunami goes the extra mile to find the best solution for our requirements." - Brad Best, IT Manager
Operating a production banking system was new to CUTASC. Training and guidance were needed for CUTASC staff to become self-sufficient.
Tsunami provided procedural documentation, production experience, implementation assistance and 7x24 on-call
support to get CUTASC operational. Tsunami worked with CUTASC's production team to quickly hand off critical roles and
duties to keep costs down, yet maintain business operations.
CUTASC staff and Tsunami share in the successful launch of a consolidated IT services company. The excellent ongoing
relation between both CUTASC and Tsunami, have allowed both businesses to flourish.
